We'll confirm your table there and then.

Since 2020

From Smashed to
All Hopes No Promises

We started slinging smashed burgers in Preston in the middle of a pandemic. Then came the cocktail bar. Then a legal scrap with an American burger superchain over the name. So we did what any stubborn Lancashire independent would do: kept the burgers, kept the cocktails, changed the sign.

All Hopes No Promises is what came out the other side — one kitchen philosophy across two cities. Fresh patties smashed to order, hot dogs done properly, chicken strips people write reviews about, and a drinks list that ranges from local craft ale to cocktails that look like they should be illegal.

Both venues run on the same rules: good food, loud decor, retro games and zero pretension. The only difference is how you get a seat.
